Milano, June 23, 2025
Redelfi S.p.A. (“Redelfi” or the “Company”), the parent company of the industrial Group of the same name, with operational headquarters in Genoa and focused on the development of innovative and sustainable infrastructures to support the energy transition, and listed on the Euronext Growth Milan segment of Borsa Italiana, announces that it has signed a new agreement with AFRY, a leading international engineering services provider listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm, for the provision of technical and consultancy services related to approximately 1 GW of stand-alone Battery Energy Storage System (“BESS”) projects within the Redelfi 2 pipeline.
The agreement represents a further strategic step within the framework of the long-standing collaboration between Redelfi and AFRY, already strengthened through the launch of the permitting process for a significant number of projects, announced in June 2024 – ref. press release dated June 11, 2024.
This transaction is part of Redelfi’s growth strategy, which envisages strengthening its presence in the Italian energy market. The Redelfi 2 Pipeline, not included in the current 2023–2026 Business Plan presented to the market in December 2023, represents a significant extension of the Company’s activities. For this reason, the agreement in question constitutes an important step underpinning the New 2025–2029 Business Plan (“New Plan”).
With a view to ensuring strategic alignment with BESS market dynamics, the New Plan will be presented to the financial market following the first MACSE auction, i.e. in the second half of 2025, in order to provide a solid outlook consistent with the most recent developments in the sector.
The services entrusted to AFRY under this agreement include basic design activities, technical due diligence, and support in permitting procedures, ensuring alignment with the highest standards of environmental and industrial sustainability.
Davide Sommariva, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Redelfi S.p.A., stated:
“This new agreement with AFRY represents a significant step forward in the implementation of the Redelfi 2 pipeline and further strengthens a collaboration based on shared values, strategic vision, and a common commitment towards a sustainable energy future. We aim for solid and responsible growth, supported by
highly qualified partners such as AFRY.”
Alessio Giuffra, Chief Executive Officer of AFRY Italy, commented:
“We are proud of our longstanding collaboration with Redelfi, based on trust and synergy. This new engagement confirms our client-oriented approach and our commitment to sustainable solutions”.
