REDELFI INVESTS IN THE RENEWABLE ENERGY COMMUNITIES SECTOR<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Milan, June 30, 2022\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Redelfi S.p.A.<\/span><\/b> (\u201c<\/span>Redelfi<\/span><\/b>,\u201d or the \u201c<\/span>Company<\/span><\/b>\u201d), a management company committed to the digital and green transition, announces that it has established the company CerLab S.r.l. (\u201c<\/span>CerLab<\/span><\/b>\u201d), based in Milan, with the objective of creating Renewable Energy Communities, as defined by the RED II Directive (2018\/2001) in the process of transposition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Renewable Energy Communities (\u201c<\/span>REC<\/span><\/b>s\u201d) are legal entities formed by private citizens, entities and companies, which choose to equip themselves with infrastructure for renewable energy production and self-consumption through a model based on sharing. Moreover, RECs are an important element in achieving the target set by the National Integrated Energy and Climate (PNIEC) 2022-2030 of 15 GW of distributed solar.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CerLab – born from the merger of the subsidiary RH Hydro S.r.l. (hereinafter \u201cRH Hydro\u201d), which holds a 70% stake, and Infralab S.r.l. (hereinafter \u201cInfralab\u201d), which holds the remaining 30% – sets a minimum target of at least 10 MW by the end of 2025, in Italy, with a total investment of about EUR 10 million.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RH Hydro will act as equity investor and handle the subsequent fundraising, while Infralab, drawing on the management’s decades of experience in the renewable energy sector, will carry out scouting activities and handle the development of the selected projects. The governance of CerLab is entrusted to a Board of Directors chaired by Eng. Sandro Rizzo, with delegated authority to Dr. Davide Sommariva. The activity of CERs will complement the strengthening of the Green business unit of the Redelfi Group, through the implementation of the asset portfolio owned by the Group itself, which will be able to generate recurrent revenues in the future. This operation represents an evolution in renewable energy for the benefit of the community.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Infralab was born in 2019 from the integration of the skills and experience of entrepreneurs and professionals who have been working in the renewable energy sector for more than twenty years. The company offers domestic and foreign utilities and investors technical, legal and financial advice and services in single source logic in both brownfield and greenfield sectors.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

RH Hydro is a company established in 2015, operating in the renewable energy sector. It holds a mini-hydro plant in the lower Piedmont region, which uses the Grana stream and the Lanza canal discharges to produce clean energy. As of 2021, with the redefinition of Redelfi’s business strategy, RH Hydro has become the Italian vehicle for the development of the Green business unit.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
