The Green line is the force that drives the Group and focuses on the development of stand-alone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in the US and Italy.
Building on our experience in the renewable energy sector, we entered the US BESS market, the largest in the world and still growing, at the end of 2022 through the establishment of the joint venture BESS Power Corporation.
Since 2023, we have pioneered the development of BESS in Italy, entering a new market with enormous growth potential.

What is a BESS?
It’s an innovative and sustainable type of infrastructure built to accelerate the energy transition
A BESS allows renewables to become planable, making it a key element in accelerating and completing the energy transition process.
A BESS receives electricity from the grid, stores it and releases it when needed, and also acts as a stabilizer for the electricity grid, becoming a key infrastructure investment for the future.
Our job is to prepare the ground for the infrastructure of the future, the stand-alone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
We take care of all the phases that precede and allow for the construction of stand-alone BESS and are increasingly acquiring in-house expertise for the authorisation and development of projects.
In addition to BESS
Producing clean energy with mini-hydro power
We produce energy using the Grana stream and the Lanza canal discharges through our plant in Pomaro Monferrato, in the province of Alessandria.
Mini-hydro is an innovative technology that enables the production of clean energy with much less impact on the environment than conventional hydroelectric plants.
The day-to-day operations and maintenance of the plant further reduce environmental impact and ensure a constant flow of energy production.
